Founded in 1972, the Rhode Island Health Care Association (RIHCA) represents 62 skilled nursing facilities across the state. Every day, more than 7,500 Rhode Islanders depend on the 24-hour care provided by our member homes, which collectively employ over 10,000 dedicated professionals.
Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities are committed to delivering the highest quality of care and consistently rank among the nation’s best for resident care, quality outcomes, and family satisfaction.
RIHCA partners with legislators, state agencies, local businesses, members, and consumers to strengthen long-term, rehabilitation, and subacute care services at every level. We also provide year-round education, advocacy, and resources to support our members, policymakers, and the communities we serve.
