For more than 50 years, the Rhode Island Health Care Association (RIHCA) has served as a voice, resource, and partner for Rhode Island’s skilled nursing community.
Founded in 1972, RIHCA represents 60 of Rhode Island’s 75 skilled nursing facilities. Every day, more than 7,500 Rhode Islanders depend on the 24-hour care provided by our member facilities and the more than 10,000 dedicated professionals who serve them.

RIHCA represents the long-term care community before state and federal policymakers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to help ensure sustainable access to quality care for Rhode Island residents.

Through year-round education, professional development, regulatory updates, conferences, and workgroups, RIHCA helps long-term care professionals stay informed, prepared, and connected.

We bring together providers, health care professionals, Associate Business Members, government partners, and community organizations to share knowledge, develop solutions, and strengthen Rhode Island’s long-term care community.
