Please fight against Medicaid cuts to nursing home care!
Governor Chafee's proposed budget calls for $12.8 million in cuts to Medicaid reimbursement for nursing home care. At the same time, the method of Medicaid reimbursement for nursing home care is slated to fundamentally change by October 1st of this year. Transparency is key as the State develops this new payment system. It's critical that we remain involved to help develop a system that assures the elderly and chronically ill of quality, accessible health care now and in the future.
